Tea And Spotify

Mmm I've discovered a lovely new tea - Moroccan mint & spices. It tastes really refreshing, but it is also warm and spicy, and it makes me think of faraway lands and moroccan markets...
I've really been Itching to travel recently, I'd love to go to Morocco or Rome, or Russia! Russia would be beautiful in the wintertime, you can just picture St. Basil's covered in snow... The History of Russia has always fascinated me, and I loved the "Anastasia" cartoon when I was younger, althought that is drastically removed from reality, Talking bats and a dancing Rasputin anyone?
I've also compiled a spotify playlist (:O) which was good fun, I basically just added everthing that I liked, even some random stuff I had only just heard on the radio. Here's the link if anyones interested! We like to dance in clogs (I tried to be created with the name... anyone remember the song about the mouse in Amsterdam?)
Anyway, thus concludes a busy blogging day, I've been trying to catch up on everything, and I'm pretty bored at the moment so I used my oppertuninty...

Green Coat, and Red Shoes

I bought a beige cotton trenchcoat last year, and thought it needed spicing up, so I got some machine dye and made it green! It worked quite well, not patchy at all and althought the thread and buttons didn't dye to match as they are synthetic I think it looks quite effective!
I also got a quite amazing pair of shoes in Brighton, so shiny and red, I don't think I ever want to wear any other shoes again! But I'll have to until I wear them in properly, I hate the way new shoes give you blisters!
They also came in a brilliant box, which has been made to look like a house, I'm going to use it to store all my "treasures" in! :)
I took some lovely photos of the sunset too :) but unfortunatley didn't get any pictures of the moon last week, It was amazingly huge and yellow! Looking up at the sky at night always makes me feel so small, but that we are all a part of something much bigger and more amazing than anyone could possibly fathom!

Charlie and Lola

Here are some photos of that quite frankly amazing calendar...

Thats January....

I think this page for March if my favorite, because of the cute cakes!
Hopefully I will acutally write in my calender this year, It would be a shame for it to go to waste!
Might make me a damnsite more organised too!
More photos to follow, I've been busy recently!

Um... I suppose its too late for "happy new year"

But I've only just bought a 2010 calender, so for me it only just feels like the year has started XD. Speaking of the calendar it is GLORIOUS! Its the "Charlie and Lola completley very good and useful calendar activity organiser" :P Because I'm still just a kid at heart, and besides I think my love for childish thinks keeps my views on the world fresh and interesting... I will try and post some pictures of el calandeiro as it is beautiful ( I really love Lauren Child's illustrations) and it came with STICKERS!
I tend not to make resoloutions because I think that if you are going to do something you should just go ahed and do it :P but I've been trying to be more creative and have started a sort of scrapbook (but not the kind that grannies keep!) and all the creativity has helped me de-stress abit from maths, college, boys and the like.
I'm slowly getting more organised too! I'm going to be starting volunteer work at my local hospital soon, am going to start ballet classes and I'm looking for an art class. Most of them will be counting towards my Duke of Edinburge and Queen's Quide awards, but they should be fun too! It hope that its not going to all get too much with all the college work and things though, becasue I hate it when I start tings and don't finish!
Hope you all have a beautiful, sparkley new year with lots of happiness and merriment (but don't get TOO merry!)

Scarlett by Cacharel

The new perfume by Cacharel smells beautiful. It is light, floral and fun, with an overwhealming scent of jasmine, which has to be one of my favorite smells, so for me the perfume is perfect. The perfume also has a beautiful website which gives you the oppertunity to create a wall of your life. I was a little bored as I am recovering from an operation, so i took my chance to create a wall with all the things that I love, you can find the link below!

J. Crew, I'm in love with you

I love love love the photos in the august and september J. Crew catalogues, they are beautiful combinations of clothes and really inspiring. They are simple and classic without being boring, and have a quirky twist without being impractical or uncomfortable. Check them out online here, It makes me angry that I can't request one because I live in the UK, I want to be able to cut out the pictures for my wall... I suppose I could print them out, but I'm lazy!

They've given me a few good Ideas for autumnal dressing though! I'm loving the shorts with patterned tights and the cords with heels looks!
